On a Lark

If I've been chirpy lately (or even somewhat sleep-deprived), it's because we had visitors!

Aren't they gorgeous?

The blue one is my favourite. (Or was, anyway, since they've all flown gone away.) The house is infinitely quieter without their gossiping and pecking.

But I'm sure our neighbours are all right with that.

(You must think I'm going slightly cuckoo, babbling on about birds. But hey, I'm not the one singing about them!)
